Airiel - Peoria

　　在Air Formation之後，又一個令人深陷的樂團。Shoegaze的音樂是自溺的，是悲傷而寂寞的，但Airiel在這些情感中又帶了一些希望，像握著被開啟後又連忙關上的盒子，我們擁抱著，還有一點點勇氣來面對世界。

　　Airiel一開始是Jeremy Wrenn與前團員Shawn Delaney所組成，在Shawn Delaney離開後，Jeremy Wrenn以solo project的形式持續了創作，之後為了現場表演，又陸續地招募了其他團員，並在獨立廠牌Clairecords旗下發行了數張ep，每一張都迅速地銷售一空，今年八月，Airiel終於透過芝加哥大廠Highwheel Records發行了第一張專輯"The Battle of Sealand"。專輯的一開始，女性播報員的日文碎語就讓聽者進入一個異國的氛圍，而隨之而來的緊湊節拍與夢幻白色噪音，讓我們又回到八十年代末期那段美麗而青澀的時光。

　　現在的Dream-Pop團常常都有VJ成員，Airiel也不例外，視覺與聽覺交替的饗宴，讓我好想親自到現場，可惜美國好遠好遠。曾幫The Dears和The Brian Jonestown Massacre暖場的Airiel，是2007年末的一個美麗的新聲音，喜歡這兩個樂團的人，喜歡Air Formation迷幻樂音的人，不妨也來聽聽這張專輯。
